Diamond cut edges are used for the borders of coins, and can achieve better quality effect for coins. No matter zinc alloy made or brass made coins, diamond cut edges are applicable just the procedure is different. Brass made coins will put diamond cut procedure as the last step while zinc alloy made coins will do diamond cut edge before electroplating.

  • There are 9 patterns of diamond cut edges for options.
  • Both brass and zinc alloy coins can be made with diamond cut edges.
  • The cutting edge made on zinc alloy coins will be always the same tone (finishing) as coins because we do plating after cutting. If we do cutting after plating, the exposed zinc alloy will get oxidized.
  • The cutting edge made on brass coins will be different tone (finishing) because we do cutting after plating finished. The exposed brass shows different tone of finishing.
