Epoxy Covering for Custom Pins, Keychains, Coins
As epoxy is used as a protective layer, it's a good idea for pin badges that will be worn for years or if you prefer the badge to have a flat surface. For soft enamel emblems, such as die-struck brass, photo-etched soft enamel, or die-struck iron soft enamel, the epoxy is optional. However, for printed pins (offset printing and silkscreen printing), epoxy covering is necessary as it protects the printed colors from scratches. You have the choice of thin and flat epoxy or thick and domed epoxy covering.

Before applying the epoxy, the emblems are preheated to help the epoxy flow faster and more smoothly. Additionally, the heat helps remove dust and lint on the emblems. For products with screen printing or offset printing, cover the printing with epoxy on top, helping protect the colors from scratching. For products with soft enamels, epoxy covering is optional. In addition, the epoxy can be chosen in a flat or domed finish.
