Custom made Tie tacks can be made of hard enamel, imitation hard enamel, brass soft enamel, iron soft enamel, printed logo, zinc alloy, or pewter, as many choices as lapel pins.

Tie Tack is usually fitted with a longer spur nail in the length of 10mm, while the common spur nail of the butterfly clutch is only 8mm. Some types have a little chain with a T-bar attached to it, which is put through a shirt buttonhole to keep the tie in place; some styles are straight design.
Tie tacks are usually more expensive than a butterfly clutch because of the fitting parts. Some luxurious clubs or famous events will choose tie tacks instead of lapel pins, and we are equipped with six different types of fittings for options.

How to Wear a Tie Tack ?
To wear a tie tack, aim for the direct center of the tie. In terms of height, it should be pinned just at one of your shirt buttons on the mid-section of the shirt or higher. The vicinity of the second and third buttons works best. Remove the protective back of the tack and pin it to your selected area, then replace the back to secure the tack. Unbutton the nearest button on your dress shirt and insert the bar connected to the chain, then re-button the button to keep your tie neatly in place.
